Only the processor was different to the one in the Aorus X7 Pro we originally reviewed, taking the form of Intels more recent Core i7-5850HQ. Called the Aorus X7 Pro-SYNC, it once again features dual GTX 970M GPUs and a display that tops out at 1080p.

Gigabyte is launching all of this immediately and you can currently find them on their site at and Source: The display is a 2880x1620 IPS and also support G-SYNC. It comes with 8 GB of DDR3L-1866 memory but has four slots and can handle up to 32 GB of RAM. It is just 0.9” thick (22.9mm) and weights 5.5 lbs, which is fairly thin and light considering it has two GPUs inside. New to the lineup is the X5 model which is a 15.6” gaming laptop with GTX 965M in SLI and the Core i7-5700HQ Broadwell processor.

The X7 Pro-SYNC is the 17.3” model which features a 1080p IPS G-SYNC display, and is powered by the Haswell Core i7-4870HQ processor and dual GTX970M GPUs in SLI. The X7 line is one of the first notebooks available with NVIDIA’s G-SYNC technology. Gigabyte also has their Aorus line of gaming laptops, and they have a couple of updates here as well. Here is a table of the models for reference. There are a lot of products from Gigabyte moving to the Core i7-5700HQ processor, which is a 2.7-3.5 GHz quad-core 47 watt part.

Pretty much the entire lineup from Gigabyte is getting some attention today, with plenty of news in their P Series lineup. The main feature on display was the Cast Gameplay Anytime Anywhere feature, allowing you to simultaneously play games while streaming video from your webcam.With today’s launch of the quad-core Broadwell laptop parts, there are going to be a lot of devices making the jump over to the new CPU. Better yet, this laptop features a 3K WQHD+ display at a resolution of 2880×1620. The Aorus X5 is graphically powerful for a laptop featuring a Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M SLI configuration and includes Nvidia’s G-Sync technology. It also features storage options for three 512GB mSATA SSD’s and a 2TB HDD. Also to be noted was that this slim laptop is only 0.9″ thick and weighs in a 6.6lbs. The X7 PRO-SYNC has a 17″ display powered by Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 970M GPU with 6GB of GDDR5 memory, and featured Nvidia G-Sync. We were also shown two of the new laptops from Aorus, the X7 PRO-SYNC and the X5. The listed memory clock is 7010 MHz, and we can expect to see this card listed just higher than Nvidia’s reference card by approximately $30. Gigabyte’s latest graphics card, the GV-N98TG1 Gaming-6GD is based upon Nvidia’s 980 Ti GPU reference card, and features their WINDFORCE cooling system of three fan blades, which have also been modified to increase air flow.
